I used this pack on a 200 mile canoe trip in NW Ontario with about 40 portages and a dozen sets of rapids. It held up well but has two small problems. The most important is that the fastec buckle at the top can inadvertently come undone when being lifted up from the top. While this didnt happen frequently, it did happen a few times on portages when being handed to others and it could be a problem if it hadnt immediately been noticed by me because items could have spilled out unknowwingly and lost. The second problem is an inconvenience - no pocket for water bottle. I dealt with this by using a carabiner to clip it onto the back but that can be annoying when portaging. For the money it definitely works as advertised and is extremely lightweight. It's now folded up into its own little pocket which serves as a rear compartment when in use.

Loved this backpack for my trip to Niagara Falls.
Loved this backpack for my trip to Niagara Falls. I bought it to keep my possessions dry while on the tourist boat rides and walking under the falls. With the extra layer of ponchos provided for the different tourist attractions, not one item got wet. On one of my hiking trips I was caught in a nonstop torrential downpour. The main backpack compartments stayed completely dry. The small zippered pocket on the outside did get a bit wet inside. I highly recommend this truly waterproof backpack.
I should also mention the extreme comfort of this backpack. Great shoulder straps, waist and chest straps. I would say this is best suited as a day pack. It's not structured, more of a loose deep interior.

Awesome
The bag arrived quickly and is even cooler than I suspected upon purchase. It folds out from a very small and compressed state to full 20 L glory. I have yet to hydro test the pack, but all seems golden with the system. When closing up the pack with some air trapped, it ballooned when compressed and did not appear to leak any of the air, like a champ. Recommend this product and seller to anyone in the market for a bear/ dry bag!
