Defender Heavy-Duty Tarp

Nice and light weight tarp with strong reinforced webbing guy loops and ridge line tie points, I highly recommend if you want to travel light (backpack) and stay dry, then look no further, this is a good one. Thanks Aqua Quest!

This tarp is great for setting up in lots of different configurations because it's so large and it is made out of very tough materials that I am very satisfied with. And because this tarp is so big I think it would be good in cooler weather because in an A frame configuration I think it would block out most of the blowing wind. I had to buy extra durable stakes so the wind won't pull it out of the ground.

This is the best durable tarp out there, Aqua Quest makes amazing gear that is reliable and tough for using out in the Field.This Defender 10x13 tarp weighs about 5 lbs so It is not a lightweight tarp by no means, but that’s ok because it’s basically bomb proof and I like that.It’s a bush crafters best friend, and I would not worry about it ripping.

This thing is built like a tank. Luckily, I havent had to test its waterproof capabilities yet. The tie loops are strong and it is exactly what they say it is. Perfect size for a bug out bag. I carry 100' of 550 paracord in the sack that it comes in along with the tarp and I am extremely pleased. Buy with confidence.

Finally got the tarp out into the woods of the Mt. Hood national forest down to the Jefferson wilderness area. Strung up two hammocks under the Aqua Quest Defender tarp without issue in a modified A frame setup over a ridge line, rained all day and night and day and night and thankfully this tarp performed exactly as I would expect. Completely dry underneath. At 3.5lbs this will be my primary ground dwelling shelter during the summer and fall months unless the bugs are out of control. Love the lightweight storage bag as it includes space for paracord and dyneema line.
The water beaded off the tarp nicely when folding and allowed for quick storage in the pouch to move along the trail in the AM. Lastly, once home I opened it up and it only took a couple hours for the water to dry with no residual musty smell I get from some of the silnylon tarps. Thanks for making such a bomber tarp
