First impression is the fiber seems different to the another back pack that I have. Its seems to be tough, still need to prove waterproofing. Back pack system is definitively better than the one I currently use. The side pockets is the feature that made me decide for this model.

Not very comfortable, broke in less than a year
This thing is pretty waterproof, but the straps are flimsy and the hip belt ripped off after less than a year (and I don't even use the hip belt because it's too high for me!). For the price, I expected better construction.

Purchased this bag for a trip to Ecuador.
Purchased this bag for a trip to Ecuador and it was perfect as a day pack in the city and a wet bag for the rafting we did in the Amazon! Everything stay dry as promised!

great simple outdoor pack
this is a very general and basic backpack. i used it for hiking/canoeing and it kept everything dry. its VERY spacious (i had 2 pairs of shoes with a thin comforter and 2 sets of clothes in a ziplock bag). it was very comfortable to be lugging it (since it has enough padding and support). however, since it is a very basic waterproof backpack, it does not have inside pockets. i would have liked an additional pocket but having the 2 outer ones to hold either a bottle or your camera helps. all in all, it is very good at keep things dry in the canoe (though i did not submerge the entire bag and you must follow the instructions with the velco and folding it at least 3 times) and it has a lot of room for you to put things in.pros: keeps things dry, size to cost ratio, 2 outer pockets, very roomy (30 liters), comfortable to carry around during hikescons: velco (did not like the velco very much, sea to summit has a better system), no other pockets inside.
